Hi!  My name is Julia Walsh Pralle.  Nice to meet you!  I have always dreamed of having my own company and being able to give a percentage of the profits to different good causes.  Many years ago I started baking cookies with my Grandmother Bita and when she passed away I continued to bake cookies to honor her and because I liked it.  My "Christmas cookie list" grew and grew.  I would go to parties and people would greet me with "Did you bring cookies?"  I decided to try and meld my wish for my own company and my love of baking.  I got certified as a master baker from the New School for Social Research and also as a food handler from the Board of Health.   I also had an apprenticeship at a local bakery.   And here it is!  Cookies Because and A Basket Because!  It is a growing company with customer service and satisfaction as top priorities.  I hope you try us are pleased with the results!  I'd love to hear from you - so email with any comments or suggestions.
