Application –
A Wholesale Membership application is required to place wholesale orders.
Contact information, store information, resale certificates and credit card
information must be supplied. After approval orders can be placed by fax,
phone or on-line.
Business Cards
– For drop ship orders we will be happy to include your business card or
other printed material in the shipment. Please send all items you would
like to include to our mailing address.
Display Samples -
Display samples can be sent at the same wholesale
discount quoted above.
Dues/Fees
- There are no dues and no application fees for our wholesale program.
Store information, resale certificates and credit card information must be
on file with us in order to be a member of our wholesale program.
Fulfillment
- Upon receipt of orders, Cookies Because/A Basket Because shall utilize
best efforts to fulfill such orders, however, if orders can not be
fulfilled, Cookies Because/A Basket Because shall advise member of the
inability to fulfill said within (1) business day.
Gift
Tags
- A Basket Because reserves the right to reject any personalized gift tag
orders whose wording could be deemed as offensive in any way.
Payments -
All purchases must be paid by credit card on the date of purchase.
Pictures -
Approved members of our wholesale program are free to use any of the
pictures on our website or sent by email for print, display and internet
solely to promote the resale of our products and not for replication of our
products. Cookies Because and A Basket Because retains the copyright to all
pictures supplied. Non logo gift tag pictures and larger file pictures are
available by email.
Ordering –
Orders can be placed by fax, phone or internet once you are set up as a
wholesale client. Cookies Because/A Basket Because will not be responsible
for the misspelling of names on phone orders. We suggest you order by
internet or fax in order to ensure correct spelling.
Orders Defined -
Cookies Because/A Basket Because has two (2) order classifications,
drop-ship orders and dealer orders.
Drop-ship orders are
defined as orders placed by a CB/ABB wholesale member (the retailer)
shipping directly to a 3rd party (consumer). Cookies Because/A Basket
Because guarantees customer satisfaction on all drop-ship orders. If the
recipient is not satisfied with their order we will replace it promptly or
issue credit. If a full refund is demanded, we may at our discretion, ask
that the item be returned (at no cost to the recipient).
Due to the perishable
nature of all our gift selections, discrepancies must be reported within (2)
business days of receipt.
Dealer orders are
defined as orders placed by a CB/ABB member (the retailer) shipping directly
to their location. There is no minimum order requirement. Dealer orders are
custom packed; we do not require items to be purchased "by the case." Dealer
orders are shipped "Best Way" and all freight charges are F.O.B. New York.
Shipping charges for bulk orders are significantly lower on a per item
basis.
Once a bulk order leaves
our premises, the transportation company becomes responsible. Members should
inspect all shipments upon arrival and note damages on the shipping papers
before signing. Members should alert CB/ABB immediately of any damage. If an
inspection is required, CB/ABB will assist the member in following proper
procedure.
Dealer orders typically
ship from our premises within 1-2 days after the date the order was placed.
Dealer order processing may be longer during holiday peaks to reserve
capacity for drop-shipments.
Shipping Policies –
Drop Ship
orders on our gourmet food baskets will typically ship the next business
day. Orders on our fresh baked cookies will typically ship 2 business days
after the order. For instance a cookie order received on a Monday will be
baked on a Tuesday and shipped on a Wednesday. Our fresh baked cookie items
are baked to order and require resting time before being packed to ship.
Order processing may be slightly longer during peak holiday seasons.

ship from New York to the continental United States. Our shipping charges
can be found at:

Please allow a minimum of 1-2 business days after the date of order to the desired start
ship date on all orders. Orders can be shipped
Ground, 3 Day Select, Second Day Air and 1 Day Air Saver. Orders shipped 2
day air on Thursday will arrive the following Monday. To insure ultimate
freshness, we highly recommend choosing 1-3 day air for orders going to the
mid west and west coast. Please note we do our best to get your package
there on the target delivery date but ground shipping services are not
guaranteed. If you need delivery guaranteed by a certain date, we recommend
using one of our expedited air shipping options instead. Shippers are not
responsible for delays due to acts of God (storms and such).
- Summer Shipping
- During the summer we will ship Mon-Thur only and will block any over the
weekend shipments that we feel will suffer in the hot summer days. Any
blocked shipments will be shipped the following Monday. 3 day air orders
ship Mon-Tues only. Substitutions will be made of equal or greater value for
any chocolate products that cannot be shipped during the hot summer months.
- Colleges, Hospitals,
Nursing Homes and similar establishments -
Our shipper will deliver to the establishments mail room. It is up to the
establishment to deliver the package to the recipient or have them pick it
up. We do not have control over how long the in house delivery will take -
please take this into account when selecting a start ship date. In this
case you should advise the recipient that a package is coming in case they
need to pick it up.
- Nursing Homes/Hospitals - We can not guarantee deliveries to
nursing homes or hospitals. Early checkouts and delays at central receiving
are beyond our control. We recommend shipping to a friend or relative and
have them personally deliver your gift
- Redirected Packages - A
$15.00 charge will be applied to your credit card to redirect packages when
incorrect or incomplete addresses are given. We cannot extend our guarantee
when incorrect addresses are given.
- Military Addresses - Shipments to Military addresses will be
shipped USPS and are not guaranteed.
- Winter Holidays
- During the winter months please add one extra day to ground shipments in
case of bad weather. Shippers are not responsible for delays due to acts of
God (storms & such).
Substitutions -
Based on season and availability, we reserve the right to make component
substitutions using items of comparable or greater value. Based on current
inventories, container decoration may be substituted with a similar
decoration of the same theme. |
